When I was little I was always a Disney princess - Belle and Ariel were my favorite but since there really hasn't been a popular princess out lately I think I would choose this. It's girlie with a little bit of toughness. My grandma and mom are amazing sewers and made most of my costumes when I was little. On another note, when I have a baby I'm going to have a hard time choosing a costume for him/her because there are so many cute baby costumes, like these two! I love cute Halloween better than scary Halloween...but that's just me. 
I totally agree with you on the baby costumes .... I have a hard enough time picking out my pups costume -- hah!
