We made it.

I have so many pictures to upload from the drive up. Such cute things to talk about and yet I have no energy!

With that being said I'm leaving for NYC tomorrow morning and I need to repack and shower like no one's bussiness. Yet, all I really want to do is get sucked into blogger and read. Before I let that happen I'm going to exit out otherwise it will be 2am I will still have nothing accomplished!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

The winner is...21
(sorry for the blurry picture!)

Congrats girl!

I leave tomorrow for Virginia. Hopefully, never to return to Pensacola. Never say never though. Currently the Coast Guard has us in Virginia for the next 4 years. I have been allowed to take the laptop with me so that I can keep up with reading/recording blog life. Well I don't think that's really the reason E is letting me have the laptop but that's my reason. :)

Facebook is a crazy thing

All this happened before I met my husband...

In high school I dated this one guy for a couple of months(Boy 1). He was way more serious then I wanted to be so we broke up. Clearly he was bitter after that. I didn't blame him I would have been hurt had it happened to me. We weren't really on great terms after that.

Because it was high school I started dating another guy shortly after that. Who I adored. He was just simply amazing. Had my family not moved and I not met E who knows what might have happened. But we did and I am a better person being married to E.

Anyways my relationship status with these guys isn't really what I want to talk about. It's theirs.

Boy 1 pretty much hated Boy 2 because that's who I dated next. Understandable. Jealousy is a big ugly green monster that can take over anyone. The two never spoke and did not hang out with the same groups. Never. Ever.

Now we are all friends on facebook...funny how that happens. And Boy 1 often talks to boy 2. WTF.

Why does this bother me. I really couldn't tell you. Perhaps because they don't talk to me and I am a selfish person. Or maybe because boy 1 really made life difficult while I was dating boy 2.

Perhaps it's the fact that I ended up breaking up with boy 2 for E. Therefore they had some common ground to bond over. No matter what I think it's weird.

Doesn't that happen a lot on facebook though. We become friends with people we weren't really even friends with in the beginning.

I feel better now...just putting it out there. :)

Orange Stickers

I had to take my car in today to get the oil changed. I go in as soon as they open because they don't make appointments for oil changes. I was done by 9am. So I decided to stop by target. The excuse is that we need kitty litter, the real reason is I wanted a new bathing suit. And just to look and see what other new cute items they may have.

I ended up torn between two suits. I picked a brown an white polka dot tankini. I also found a cute 3/4 sleeve shirt. Then as I was walking toward the animal area that's when I spotted an aisle with all the little Orange stickers! Oh those stickers get me excited. There were journals, scrapbooks, stickers all up to 75% off. Before I got too carried away I had to step back and remind myself that I am moving next week! But I couldn't resist completely!

With the majority of my friends recently have children and some of them just waiting to pop I have been spending a lot of time looking at all this related to children.  I love how tiny the clothing is and all the toys but what I really love is the kids furniture! I really like all the educational projects like this science experiment kit.

Spring Cleaning

11 days till I leave for Virginia. I have officially started counting down. I had a wonderful visit with my family. I still can't believe that my dad will be in Afghanistan in a month. This time here in Pensacola has flown by! My sister flew out early this morning which left me awake much earlier than normal with not a lot to do.So I got the itch to clean/organize.

Since we have decided to stay with E's parents for a few months I have decided to pack more than I would if we were moving straight into our own house because anything I don't bring with me will end up in storage. I packed up my craft room today.

I was only supposed to bring a few things but two overflowing rubber maid containers later I think I have everything I want. I took all the picture frames off the wall and put them in a nice neat pile. Hopefully, the packers will put them all together. But they don't always pack in a way that makes sense to me. After I was satisfied with the craft room I moved on to my closet.

I have a lot of clothes but only wear a small portion of it. Some doesn't fit anymore too big or too small. Some of it I just don't like anymore. I really don't have a need for so many semi-formal date dresses. Anyway, I tried on everything I wasn't sure about to see if I felt like it fit nicely or was worth keeping a little longer. I have a pile to donate, pack to take with me, and pack for storage. I really hate getting rid of things because two months later I will frantically be searching for something only to remember I gave it away. But right now it feels good to get rid of the extras.

This is a giveaway pile - for the record for someone who never really worked out until recently I have a large collection of tennis shoes that I have a hard time parting with. There are 3 pair in the pile and I kept two pair that don't include the two that I wear for actual running.

What a productive Saturday!

Moving in the the in-laws

Since we have lived in Florida we haven't been able to save as much money as we were when we lived in DC because I didn't have a job for a long time. We are by no means hurting for money but if we want to have a baby any time in the next year I would really like to have a lot saved up and be in a place where I wouldn't have to work right after the baby is born. No we are not pregnant yet but these are things I think about.

Yesterday, E's mom told him that if we wanted to we could live with them for a couple of months rent free to help us save some money before we find a house. His parents live about 45 minutes from where E would be working and about the same for wherever I would find a job. Not a bad commute since we are used to DC Traffic. At first I was like no way we are not living with your parents for a couple of months. But the more that I think about it (the frugal side of me) thinks there really is nothing wrong this idea. His mom works in New Jersey Mon-Thrus. She she isn't even at the house expect on the weekends. She flys home on thursday evenings and then flys out early on monday morning. His step dad is a realtor. So it would just be the three of us during the week. I love his parents. The only thing I'm really afraid of is that if we live with them for a while that might change! I made a list of pros and cons and the cons seem pretty dumb. My worry is about my animals, Ashleigh hates any other dog besides the puppies and they have a dog. She has spent time there before but she is usually shut in our room there and that's no life for her. I guess she will just have to get over her fear. The other problem is that they don't have a fenced in back yard. Their dog is very well trained and doesn't leave the yard. My puppies are young and not so well trained. Mainly because they haven't had to be because we have a fence. So is 3 months of saving a ton of money worth it...I'm not sure but I need to decide before I leave so I know if I need to pack all my clothes or just some. :)

All That I'm After Is A Life Full Of Laughter...

Thank you for all the responses on my possible career change! I was really excited to hear that there are others out there who earned their bachelors and then decided that it wasn't for them. I emailed one of my mom's friends who is a 3rd grade teacher about shadowing her once I move back to Virginia and she is more than happy to. It's all very exciting and I can't wait to go back to school. Yes, I hate tests and writing long research papers, but really I love school. Nerdy I know.

We are getting the dogs micro-chipped tomorrow morning. It is a bit expensive at our vet, $50 each. But I trust them. On base it was going to cost $25 for the first time vet visit and $25 for the chip. Since the price would end up being the same I'll stick with the ones we know. The kitten will be chipped on Thursday. One expensive week at the vet! But with moving and staying at different houses (my parents, E's parents, E's brother) I will feel much better knowing that if something happened we have a better chance of finding my babies again!

My sister arrives in 5 days!!! I'm so excited that she is coming back! Although we did almost all of the touristy things in Pensacola last time it will be nice to have her here again. My parents are arriving on Sunday night. It is going to be nice to have everyone here because my sister and I wont be back to Virginia before my dad's possible departure date for Afghanistan. Which I can't believe is almost here! Time is flying by!!
